The Granddaddy of Loudon County Broadcasters - operating continuously since 1950.
WLIL plays a format of Country Classic music 24 hours a day. WLIL is the home of the original Trading Post program that allows people to call in and buy, sell and trade items. The Trading Post is regularly rated as the # 1 most listened to show in the Loudon / Blount County area for it’s time slot, and has been on the air each morning at 9:00 am continuously since 1950.
WLIL is the oldest “Vol Network” station in Tennessee broadcasting Tennessee Football and Basketball since 1950. WLIL is the Knoxville Metro Market voice of the Atlanta Braves. Lenoir City Football, Basketball and Baseball with the “Voice of the Panthers” Glenn McNish, is the longest running play by play sports broadcasts in the history of the state of Tennessee at either the high school or college level. This year Glenn begins his 46th consecutive season of Lenoir City sports.
WLIL also provides the community with several local church broadcasts and Gospel music on Sundays.
